Fun on the Barren Fork
So this morning I went to the lake early and tossed some top water around and couldn't attract any bigmouths, Some of you guys got me to pick up a few trout magnets and figured I'd tie one on the ultra light for some gills. I caught a few bluegill on it before it got hot so I left to go run errands in town, had to stop by and get a phone I broke fixed and with an hour to kill I rode down to a small rec area on a popular kayaking creek. I waded out in the water and tossed the trout magnet around and just like that I had a fish on! Ended up catching a few rock bass, 3 smallies, and one minnow sized largemouth. None of the fish were big but man it was fun for an unplanned outing!! Crystal clear water and smallies is always a blast no matter the size!
