Default Fresh trout tonight

Had 2 work appointments cancel this morning so I checked the Caney generation schedule and away I went. In a couple hours I caught about 15 or so and kept 5 for the grill tonight. Family wants to try them I usually release. The biggest rainbow was 13 inches. Most where caught with a small minnow like jerk bait with a split shot to keep in the strike zone. I'd snap it and the flash, well they couldn't resist. Had several follows and slashes at it too. I did catch one small brown trout. A handful of fish were caught on the trout magnet with a float and split shot, as I always do at the Caney. Then one on a small spoon. I love the Norman lures speed clips for quick change when using cranks, even for bass fishing. Used them for years and they're awesome! I was using trout magnet 4 lb test line.
