Default Walleye Fillets!

After about 3 weeks I finally got a chance to get out on Old Hickory. Caught some nice bass (no giants) and this Walleye (19").

Bass about this size :

Gotta go, got some fillets to clean and cook

Bagley's were and I am sure still are great baits. I have several of them and box of Poe's 1100's, 1200's, 200's, 300's 400's and RC3's.

Is there any better fish to eat other than sauger or walleye. Make my mouth water to look at that pic.

I think its striped black copper foil but not 100%. Its a good color.

I am an old lure junkie. Probably the only guy under 40 (barely ) that fishes mudbugs, hellbenders, christmas tree bombers, poes, bagleys, sonics and others from that era.

Nice sauger there. I would change out those hooks on that crankbait. I assume they are original? Looks like they are still getting them in the boat though. I will change them for you for a lil sauger and a couple biscuits.

No, they came out of the box with smallish hooks. .. Once I started fishing them and started having success with some mean tidal river bass from 4 - 7 lbs the hooks were getting destroyed and I went with larger ones. Here's a pic of one that has the original small hooks

But your right, those hooks have seen better day's. ... but after using it on many hundreds of trips there is many memories those old twisted hooks manage to give me
