Default Dale Hollow Smallies...Gills

Had a great day at Dale Hollow today. Lures used were Midnight Blue ThunderHawk Dancer on a 1/16 ounce Micro Dancer jig head and a Bison colored Trout Magnet on a 3/32 ounce jig head....line was SOS 2# test mono. Rods used were Major Craft Truzer Ajing "H" 6' 5" UL and a Yamaga Blanks Blue Current TZ Jig Head Special 6' 10" UL. Reels were a Shimano TwinPower C2000 HGS and a Daiwa Certate 2004CH. Had about 10 Smallies...best was 21 inches....had one at 20 inches and others 16-18 inches. Found the Gills today. Had two dozen of some really chunky fish. They fought just as hard as the Smallies...pulling drag. The girth and shoulders on these Gills are amazing. Got into a bunch of black perch at about the 7-8 inch mark...had around 50 of those....was on a spot they were stacked in. Was hard to leave today but had to get back down the road. I am having the best spring time fishing of my life. Going to hit it again next week. Life is Good!!

Regards

There is one each in the pic. One is a black perch and one is warmouth. There was creek back in there....assuming that was why so many there.

Thanks for the comment......It is sold and trademarked by Leland's Lures....Trout Magnet.....and I guess here in the USA Trout Magnet is only place to get it. I know I love the thing......a lot of specie like it. It only takes me 2 hours 15 minutes to get there. I thought you lived in Rutherford CTY also.

You are right. 2 hours and 3 minutes from my house. I thought it was farther than that. It's been 5 years since I made that trip.
