Thumbs up Old Hickory Lake fishing report 4/30/2016

I went out yesterday and caught a really nice slab crappie on a Mr Crappie swim bait in black/chartreuse. The water temperature was 70.4 and the wind was light. The bass I caught was 4 1/2 lbs on a 8" emerald lizard by Zoom and was one of five. All the fish were released for someone else to catch. So till the next time out good luck and God bless...... Woody

Sounds like a good day to me! After talking with you woody I went on that day to catch 10 nice black crappie and had one get off by the boat that was easily 14", kinda strange though as I never caught a white crappie in the cove only blacks. I always thought that black crappie will spawn before the whites so I guess they were just in there feeding.
