I've Been on Chick since Wednesday afternoon. This trip was nothing like last year unfortunately. We did not get to book the lake house on the date we wanted so we had to go about 2 weeks early. The water is still low and it was terribly windy the whole time we were there. We did not catch numbers like last year but I had some good fish, including a smallie that hit a crappie jig yesterday afternoon. To top of the bad fishing I hit something while running down the lake Friday evening. Not sure of the damage to the lower unit but I know it won't go more than 4 MPH without screaming bloody murder and vibrating like it's going to fall off. By the way hitting something going that fast is pretty scary
Saturday was the High school tournament and some other event that totaled to an additional 300 boats on the water, it was hard to just find a spot to fish. Crappie are about a month behind the ones on JPP. They have eggs but they are not really well developed yet.
