Default Lunch Fishing today

The bass were crushing a spinnerbait today right next to the bank. I fished parallel to the bank working it back through emergent grass and upcoming pads.

Going to be getting great real soon!

That's a great way to spend lunch time. You on Old Hickory? I was on call this previous weekend and had to check jobs Saturday and had a little down time between appointments. I stopped by the nice mill dam here in Murfreesboro for about 30 minutes and on the second cast caught a 3' fat gar on a 4lb line and crappie magnet. I got it all the way up on the slab of concrete and before I could grab it the line broke and he flopped back into the water.

Not Hickory.

I have a love hate relationship with gar. I love to catch them until I see it's a gar then I hate to catch them.
