Default Cheatham Lockndam

Thinking about fishing below cheatham this weekend. Anyone have any reports from the area? I scouted it last weekend and they are still pushing a lot of water through there, gates open and choppy. Thinking it may be fishable a mile down river or so.

Whats the timeline for the stripes to start showin up there? I know they should start moving now that the water temp is going to be steady 50 or so. Any info is appreciated as always!

Dave and I fished down there Sunday and Monday and had limits both days. Sunday we had limits by 9:30am and Monday we had 'em by 10:30 despite the wind. The whites have been there for awhile now but it's easier to fish now that the elevation is dropping some. The average size is getting good.

Shoe man,
That is awesome. Were you fishing a ways from the dam, along breaks/close to the bank I take it?

We start about a mile below the dam and fish every little eddy we come to. Some of them aren't much bigger than the hood of my truck. Nearly all have fish in them now. We don't pass the big eddys either. We use 1/8oz jigs on 6lb or 8lb line and it must get to the bottom and stay close. Catching them from 1 to 10 or so feet deep on 2 inch tubes and crappie sliders.
