Default Spring Fishing Is Here

Went out on old hickory today around noon targeting yellow bass, went to our normal stretch long lining with 1/16 oz jigs and 2" grubs right around 1.2mph was best. I managed at least 35 yellows (lost count at one point) my buddys caught quite a few also, got into a few small largies and a handful of drum, the big female yellows are still a week or two out all yellows caught were males and they hadn't fattened up quite yet but most were pretty long like 8-10" caught one 12" but all fish were released, saving the grease for another day. I had and landed a triple hookup solo that was quite fun till I went to reel in the third and sat down on my 2nd poles reel handle that went snap lol. All in all fishing is looking up lots of boats out today and yesterday water temp where we were was 51-53.5.

Good Luck & Happy Fishing
