Default Land based striper

Hi everyone,

I have been in the Hendersonville area for almost a year now, and have mostly done bass fishing.

I am curious as to whether or not there are opportunities to fish for striper from the bank. It doesn't matter where as I would be willing to travel. My son and I had a guided trip in the fall, but unfortunately struck out.

So any ideas where and how? I have heard the steam plant is good right now. Is there any bank access there?

A Hawk, shoot me a PM and I'll take you and you son fishing at the steam plant and see if we can catch one of those stripers.
I haven't been out for awhile and need to get the boat wet.

Thanks Jeremy.
I usually donate 4-5 trips per year for charitable causes.
One trip per year for Wounded Warriors, one trip to a silent auction to my daughter's school classroom, one trip to our church for a silent auction, and two trips to the Beverly Woods Fishing and Hunting with Kid's Foundation, taking underprivileged inner city kids fishing.
And then I'll just do random trips like the one I offered AHAWK just because I like helping people.
I've even taken SAMBOLIE out a coupla times just because I like to watch him sit in the back of the boat, staring at the sky, talking about the pretty butterflies, reaching up to touch the clouds, and occasionally, wetting himself. He's really amusing to watch. I always carry wet wipes to clean the drool off his chin periodically.
(His wife really appreciates the quiet time it gives her).

I'll second this. I was fishing below Old Hick dam this fall and he pulled up, talked fishing and gave me a few gizzard shad for bait cause we wasn't able to find any. Not many people do that.

Thanks again
