Default Winter Bass on OH

I decided to try winter fishing for the first time this year, and it paid off. Been in TN since June, and this has been my biggest fish so far. Caught on a 1/2 oz red eye shad (sexy shad color)

Nice fish! This year the rattle baits have been killing it.

Thanks! Yeah I have been wearing them out, Definitely my go to. I prefer the 3/4 oz size, but they are harder to find.

You know, I noticed this too. A friend and I were fishing top water in the fall, he was using a spook and a popper, I was using a sexy dawg and flat put it on the fish. I bet for every One hit he had, I had 8-10. And it wasn't just that one particular day, there was a couple of them. Come to think of it, I didn't do to well on silent cranks either. I did in 2014, but not 2015. Funny how things can change like that.

I was talking about rattle trap style baits. Those sexy dogs work well. Check out the Mean mouth walking baits. I like the solid bubble gum color. The hooks are amazing on them too.

Yea my I know. But any rattle type lure really produced better for me this year than silent lures. I love the sexy dawg, it produced very nicely this year. I'll give them a look. Thanks.

Talking about the sexy dogs. I had a friend get 2 of the 3 treble hooks stuck in his bicep a couple years ago, that was a fun 20 minutes getting those out. I'm not sure where you are at skillet but M,boro outdoors stocks the mean mouth lures. Their Jigs are pretty nice too.

Nicely Done Hawk...

As for the rattling baits, I saw the Sexy Dawg put them in the boat when my Zara Spook wouldn't. I was on the boat with Skillet.. Now I own a Sexy Dawg.
