Default Anybody bass fishing?

Has anyone been bass fishing on a regular basis lately? I've gotten out a couple times in the last 2 weeks. Been deer hunting pretty hard for a while. I'm not finding many bass. I've been fishing deep main lake channel banks and bluffs and haven't found much except for a lot of drum and white bass. Anyone having success and care to share how? Not looking for spots just a pattern. I did run into a creek for a few minutes the other day and caught a nice 3.5 lber but was convinced at the time I was fishing too shallow. Now I'm not so sure. With the water temp I just expected to find them 10-20 feet. I'm fishing OH by the way

I've been on OH the past few weekends. We are catching decent bass around what's left of the grass beds. We started out fishing deeper water as you were saying and weren't doing any good. Once we went shallow we started catching them. Most of them were caught on jigs in 1-4 fow

Thx for the heads up. Heading out again tomorrow and had already decided I was dedicating the day to fishing shallow. This makes me feel better about that decision

What portion of OH did you fish?
I've been doing the best around Barton's creek, even way back in the creek

I'm used to throwing jerkbaits on the edge of the creek channels back by the marina in Bledsoe this time of year. I haven't caught the first one on a jerkbait this winter. Crazy!

I'll be headed out in the morning. Any things a rookie should know for tomorrow or the lake in general?

Well, Texas Rig and I are catching them real shallow on the upper end of the lake. I dont know what he is using but my main bait is 1/4 ounce jig.

I caught a few on a small swimbait and a Texas rigged strike king menace with a 3/8 oz tungsten weight. I caught them just fishing areas I would normally be flipping in the summertime. Good luck to you

Caught one about 13", didn't really fish to long. Buddy didn't have the right clothing to be out in this weather. Was only out about 2 hours and fished for about a hour
