Default Fishing....or installing?

Just got some new equipment delivered today.

MinnKota Ulterra 112 IPILOT Link, 60 inch shaft and MinnKota Quick release mounts for it. I'll pair it up to my HB 859 HD DION the bow.

Plus a Lowrance HDS 12 Gen 3 Touch with the LSS2 side and down imaging transducer. First Lowrance product for me, gonna be a learning curve to this.

Mounting it with a Balzout mount. May leave my HB 1199 SI on for awhile til I get the hang of the Lowrance.

Two new Cabelas Quick Draw rod holders that mount either way , deck or side. This'll give me 10 rod holders on the back and 8 more when I put on the spider rigging stuff.

But the question remains...fish?...or install? tomorrow.

I have had Garmin, Humming Bird, Lowrance and Eagle with Lowrance/Eagle being my fav without question and Garmin coming in second. But that is as old an argument as Ford, Dodge vs Chevy...
Either way, that is a rock solid system and you will be very happy.

Nice stuff to start the new year out with. I've played with a HDS touch at the store, and they are very easy to get the hang of but I've had Lowrance HDS for several years.

Are you going to get an Ilink map card, that is my goal, I've got a 899 SI out in the shed to install and have Ipilot now, but baby steps, baby steps for me. May want to hook both HB's up to the Ilink just for giggles and see how that works for you. enjoy.

Great equipment, fish will not be able to hide. I would opt for going ahead and installing it in a heated garage and coffee. Let the water temps cool just a little more and get out and use your new tools.

Got the sonar transducer mounted. Thinking about waiting for the spring mounting bracket to mount the LSS2 Side scan transducer.

Did you mount the transducer to your trolling motor?
