Default Help with Tims Ford - Kayak

My son in law and I are new to kayak fishing in the area and wondered if y'all would give us some advice.

Can you suggest areas good for kayak fishing on Tims Ford? It's close to us and I think would be a good 'home' lake. The places do not need to be exact. Some rough areas and we'll figure out the rest.

So where should we be fishing over the next few weeks to a month?

Also, I saw the recent video on 'pulling for hybrids/stripers'. Looks like something we could do since it's slow. Advice on this?

Thanks all!!!

Mike.

During the Summer months, I see a lot of kayak fishermen at the state park. This time of year, I would prefer up the lake. In the Winter, I see a lot of kayakers in the back og Little Hurricane. There is a boat ramp in the very back end. This would be a good access point for that area of the lake all the way over to Owl Hollow. As you move up the lake, there is a good boat ramp at Devil's Step. You can access the area around Winchester from the Bass Club boat ramp. In the Lost Creek part of the lake, there is a boat ramp in the upper end as well as in the very back of Anderton Creek. There is really good fishing in that area in the Summer.

Good luck and watch out for the bass boats!
