Default Fishing buddy/partner?

Yellow, just wondering if anyone has a fishing buddy or buddies you fish with a lot and are good friends?

I fish with my brother-in-law David most of the time. He lives in a trailer behind our house and anytime I want to go fishing, he is ready. I have a 20' pontoon so there is plenty of room on the boat if you ever want to fish. I live in Halls but fish Watts Bar and Fort Loudoun most of the time. We fish for cats and striper mostly.

I fish with my wife most of the time. I do have many friends that we met through fishing tournaments, and outings that I fish with also. I don't really have any friends that we just started fishing together, most of the people I meet are through fishing related groups or organizations, and then we just start fishing together.

Actually now that I think about it everyone of my friends fish, and very actively fish. I'm trying to think of one friend that I don't fish with, and I can only think of one, and that was in high school 16 years ago, and we still keep in touch regularly.

Most of my friends that I've meet fishing related have become more than just fishing buddies. We usually end up shooting together, having or going out for dinners, helping each other around the house or vehicles, and go on vacations together. My best friends are fishermen.

TNBronze, I'll be fishing with you soon! Saugers, steaks, and bourbon!

I've fished with several members of this forum that I met through here. It's a great resource to meet new fishing buddies. A lot of us are yak fishermen so you have to get a kayak or else we won't be your friend. Just kidding! Haha

Over the years I've found that I've lost touch with my college buddies because we just don't have anything in common anymore. They don't fish or hunt and now that's all I want to do with my free time, that and spend time with my wife. I have a feeling that in the future, I'm going to be just like Jeremy in that all my closest friends will also be fishermen and hunters. We start out doing that together and then become close friends.

Lol...just kidding!
Not having any children of my own, i understand that weekends "free" are limited with alot of you guys.
Im looking forward to fishing with you guys and meeting face to face.
Catching the saugers is easy, catching legal saugers was more difficult last year. But if they grew about 1/2-3/4" inch....we should be golden!
I will channel my inner Al Lindner and Babe Winkleman to put us on the fish!

Good to hear the lady involved! And nice, wishing I had my best friends to fish with me, but they don't live in my area anymore.

She fished before we met 18 years ago, I just helped her along to a whole new level.

You gotta make new friends Bryce. Not saying forget your current and old friends, but just make some new friends with the same interests. I know it's hard making friends the older you get, or it is for me anyway. Work, wives, kids, responsibilities, yeah it's a bummer. We have managed to make some really good friends while here in the Nashville area, and still keep in touch with old friends.
