Default Cherokee lake

I have a tournament this Saturday on Cherokee lake take out of the dam ramp. Went up there last Sunday to check it out and little bit and the lake sucked. I don't know if it was just a bad day out there or what but can anyone give some pointers on how to catch some fish out there?

I've never fished that lake but as a general pattern this time of year the bass are chasing shad into the feeder creeks. I'd hang around points at creek mouths and further into the creek if you find fish there. Throw jerkbaits. As the water temps drop, the shad don't do so well and the bass gorge on them. Twitch, twitch, pause and make that jerkbait look like a shad barely hanging on.
