Default Please, your help is needed. Greg Hawkins Fund Raiser

https://www.facebook.com/groups/kaya...3/?pnref=story

A fellow angler was killed while doing something we all love to do. When Gregg Hawkins left his house on Friday, October 16th, returning safely was probably not a concern of his. Unfortunately, Gregg was killed as he returned to the Mona Boat Ramp on the Stones River outside Smyrna, TN. The suspect(s) is still on the loose and a very small reward is being offered for information leading to their arrest.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
In an effort to raise money for the family and reward amount, the kayak angling community is coming together to raise awareness and funds. This senseless murder happened in our backyard this time. Could it happen in your backyard next time? Please help us spread the word and raise the funds this family deserves to bring these criminals to justice.
If you have information regarding this case, please call Rutherford County Crime Stoppers at 615-893-7867.
Donations can be made via Paypal to:
kayakanglersforacause@gmail.com
Anything helps!

Unfortunately I have to work Saturday, but I'm going to try to show up around 2:30 for some BBQ, raffles, and a donation.

Thank you for all the help.

$18,000+ was raised to go toward the reward to bring Greg Hawkins murderer in.

It warms my heart to see everyone come together for a great cause. There were more than 60 people (kayaks, and boats) that registered for the tournament yesterday, and there were easily 50-60 people at Murfreesboro Outdoors when we arrived at 2:45pm. I heard there were people coming in and out all day leaving donations.

Oh it wasn't me. It was a collaboration of great folks. It shows how close we are no matter what we fish for, out of, no matter how affordable or expensive our gear is. Life is too short to not help others in need. It's times like these we need to stick together closer than ever.
