Talking September Stripers! Wooohooo...

Chatting with Merv all morning, we decided to go Striper Hunting too...
Me & the Wife launched at Cairo on OH and spent about an hour idling around looking for any sign of life when we Finally got some action on the screen. We set a way point on the Lowrance and told the Motorguide to take us there. We got right on top of them and sent down 2 lines with Threadfin shad & I picked up my white jigging spoon. BOOM, hooked up with the jig, & as I'm reeling in, my other pole gets hooked up, my wife grabs it and reels it in. So that's 2 on the deck. She says, I think I'm hung up, she picked up her pole and said, there's a fish on it. It was running hard pulling drag. Three at once. Good Times! The big ones were 38"

Very nice. You seem to be getting on decent fish pretty consistently.

Thanks for commenting. I tell you, we are loving the Lowrance HDS Touch. I spend more time looking at the screen than Fishing

Thanks, the 38"ers were 20 pounds according to my rinkydink scale. I looked up the chart for stripers and it said between 19-24 pounds.

That can be habit forming. A buddy of mine installed an HB si and HB di and he asked me to give him some tips on how to interpret the images. Bass were stacked all along the wing walls at Pickwick and I'm wanting to fish and he is wanting to cruise the walls of the dam just to see what is there...LOL. Nice fish by the way.

Regards
