Default Frenzy de LA Caney

Yesterday my wife fell asleep on the couch. For some reason she woke and said, "If you want to go fishing, go."

10 minutes later I was gone. Damn the three foot grass!

I arrived around 3:45PM and pulled out at 7:00. Caught at least 30 lost at least 60. The biggest was a 16 inch brown. It was an absolute frenzy. It has not been this good in over a month. Hit the water, 5 seconds, fish on.
Fish rolling everywhere.

Thanks to my sleepy wife. An afternoon of honey do's became a honey doozy of an afternoon.

I'm going to try to get her to go with me next week....or slip her some Nyquil. Either way.

Man, nice trip out there. I have yet to experience one of those trips. I have had some good times but never caught the numbers like that.

That's an awesome outing. A buddy of mine and his girlfriend camped out there this weekend and he landed a monster Brown, almost 24", they caught a bunch of Walleye too. Keepers, not the pesky 8 inchers that have annoyed me a lot when I fished for them this Summer. He said the fishing was awesome all weekend, they were catching them left and right.

Dang that hurts my feelings. Wife and I went to the PBR Saturday night so I slept in Sunday morning. I haven't had an outing like that yet this year. Last year it was almost the norm. Sounds like I might need to take a mental health day at some point this week.

Good to hear that, I have struck out my past two outings up there wading below Happy Hollow. Might need to move up closer to the dam and bring the boat for some action like that. Thanks for the report.
