Thumbs up Old Hickory Lake fishing report 8/21/2015

We went out today and found a great day to be alive but a slow day on the bite. The water temp was around 78.0 and clear with light wind. My first bass was about three pounds on the 8" black emerald lizard by Zoom and it was in 3' of water at 8:30 am. Then nothing for 2 hours and then 2 more bass one around two pounds and the other one around a pound all on the Zoom lizard working it slow on the bottom. Mr. ED was catching bluegills and a nice shell cracker. We will be back out in the morning early so till then good luck and GOD BLESS.................Woody

Thanks for the report, Mr. Woody. It's always helpful to know what's happening out there. Luck to you tomorrow.

We found lots of bait balls and skipjacks but not many bass today. The bass we found were on the small size and the weather was real nice in the early morning with little to no wind. I think we will check out the ledges for bigger bass in the morning so till then good luck and GOD BLESS......Woody

Today was real nice until it started to rain but I still caught one really nice bass on the crazy flapper orange/red 3.6 and the bass was a good 4 1/2 pounds. The water temp was 79.4 and foggy. So till the next report good luck and GOD BLESS............Woody

Woody,

I'm gonna buy you a "selfie" stick cause your arms ain't long enough to take a picture of a fish that big. They're long enough for dinks, but not for hoggers like this one.

What color selfie stick you want, pink or purple?
