Default Screen shots on JPP

The first 2 shots are white bass in the jumps I know for sure.

The next shot I caught several catfish trolling.

No takers off this tree

All of the shots are cool but I really like the Gar shots. You can really tell what it is. I need me some side imaging! I love my Lawrence units but think I will get one or two of the Helix 7's this fall.

Yeah ive looked at those online as well. I certainly want a 7" screen at the bare minimum.

I don't get hung up on brand...as all of them are good and will change the way one fishes....but I tell everyone to get as big a screen as you can afford. Put the money out for screen size until it hurts...then pay out some more for even more screen size making it really hurt....LOL.

I agree but I think the Helix 7 is tough to beat for the money.

Oh for sure.....a lot of bang for the buck there. I was going to put that on my boat if I had to have a front and rear sonar.

When is it suppose to be in stores?
Ive looked at some other clearance units at several Academys but they werent hooked up so i couldnt check them out in demo mode and nobody could help me.
Would much prefer to have a 7" screen though.

First of October. I think I will keep the Lowrance up front and use the side imaging at the console. Trying to decide if I get a whole other unit for the yak or just a transducer and cables. I think the cables and transducer are almost 400 bucks.

This is what I am thinking. I will get the HDS 7 Gen3 and mount it on the front of my boat by the trolling motor. (I currently have an Elite 7 HDI there now) Mount the transducers on the back of the boat. Connect my 10 " tablet via the GoFree app to my HDS unit and BAM I now have a 10" HDS unit at the console. I have looked into sun shades for the tablet and mounting hardware and can get all that for less than $75. So I basically end up with 2 HDS units for the price of one.

I'm amazed at what Lowrance wants for their gen3.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a DragonFly 4-Pro.

Wi-fi connect to my iPad running Navionics and get bathymotrey charting overlaid: big screen, small screen slaving.

I just can't see the $1,300 (for the SMALL gen3 unit)

Raymarine's price is <$400.
