Default Old X 50 Lowrance fish finder

My question is this. I have this unit in my dashboard When I turn on the unit I can hear it beep but the screen stays blank. Do you think this is a bad unit or a bad transducer?

Probably a bad unit. If you place your hand on the bottom of the transducer you should be able to feel it click. Be sure to check your fuse to the unit. Take it put of the holder and look for corrosion. It could be not getting power.

You should be able to hear the transducer clicking too.

Transducer is in the hull somewhere? I'm not sure how to get to it. I didn't install it. May just replace unit.

What do the connections look like that go to the unit? I think I have a lowrance head unit laying around. It's black and white though.

Thanks, if they used the same plugs the unit is larger than that. It's the mark 5. it has the round screw lock type.

Pretty sure a Mark 5 connection is different than the x50, I may have a x37 in the shed if you want it or need it.

TK, we can't discriminate against chain yankers because of new laws that recently passed.
