Default JPP Crappie 05/18/2015

After deciding where to fish and dodge the rain, we went to JPP. Hard to drive past when so close, 30 min. to have the boat in the water. Crappie were deep in 18-21 ft. Caught north of 50 total with 16 nice ones for the Crisco.

One exceeded the 15 inch mark.

The rain held off, almost, until we were on way in to ramp. Otherwise, a very pleasurable fishing day.

The fish still have eggs and I believe are actively spawning.

What kind of bait?
How were you fishing. Trolling or float ?
What cover were they in?
Good job by the way.

Keep catching those and I think you are gonna start needing a bigger measuring device.

Fish came out of bamboo I put out last year. Efforts r paying off.
Photo is right side up on mobile devices. Upside down on my computer.
Check difference in girth in these 2 fish. The shorter one is so much wider.

Found that interesting.
