Sorry man I havent been on the forum much. I have actually been up on the lake chasing smallmouth right now. It only lasts for a short window and got to take advantage of it while I can. I will be back on the Caney as soon as the smallmouth head back to deeper water. I did wade the Caney some when the water was off and the rainbows are fatter than I have seen them since 2010. Could be a great year up there.

I would suggest to be on the river as soon as they turn off the sluice. I am hoping they keep running it until I am done smallmouth fishing and then I can hit the river. Think it could be an awesome year for the trout with what I saw earlier this year.

I fished it once last year for trout.

I should have to sell all my gear after making that statement.
