Fished all day out at Williamsport at Blue Cat Lake. Started fishing at 8:00 a.m this morning and left at 5:00 p.m. I caught over 150 fish....Gills...crappie, and one nice shell cracker. All fish caught on a Bison Trout Magnet using 2# test SOS line with a Tict Ice Cube Rockin' Drift UL rod. These fish are in the rocks anywhere from 2 feet out to about 20 feet out off the dam. If you are not on occasion skipping the jig off the tops of the rocks you won't catch anything. Most of the crappie were 10 inches...no I did not measure all but for those who fish out there and want a limit of 15 crappie it won't take you long. The Gills are very nice...."Stubby" Gills....nice and chunky. It was a fun day.....lots of drag pulling going on. Was fortunate to have an eagle come down to the water about 15 yards in front of me and snatch out what looked to me like a golden shiner......of course it could have been another specie of fish but it was neat to see it that close. The Gills in Blue Cat have some kind of virus....looks to me like the same virus that causes the black spots on large mouth...have learned it is not harmful to the fish but this is the first I have ever seen of this on bluegill. A really good day.
