Thumbs up Jpp 3/16/2015

I went with my good friend Merv today to JPP and caught some real nice slab crappie. We had 21 keepers out of 67 that we caught and the water temp was around 64. We were using 6 rods with 2 to 3 jigs per rod and small planers and 2 rods with floats and jigs. The colors that work the best were black/chart slab magnet and purple/chart twister tail. The water depth that worked the best was 9' to 12' and the speed was around .7 and when we got there this morning around 7am it was foggy till 8am. So till my next trip out good luck and GOD BLESS........WOODY

Looks delicious. I'm glad to see they're moving up. I'm planning to troll curly tails for Crappie on Friday as long as the Thursday rain doesn't muddy up the lake. I'm looking forward to it!

What part of the lake were you finding them so shallow? The spots I know to catch them are around Fate Sanders down to Stewarts Creek.
