Had a couple good days at the steam plant in the last week but today really stood out. Was at the canal at 5:30 this morning. Not much topwater bite first thing but they were hammering swimbaits pretty much all day. Most were 12-18lbs but had a couple over 20 and the big fish of the day was 34lbs. Also caught a really nice 5lb smallmouth. Its days like today that keep you coming back!

That ain't right! I would love to have a day like that I think the small mouth is most impressive.

That's a heck of a day at GSP. Is the water clearing up? I guess it doesn't matter, after all this rain and ice/snow runoff it will be coffee and creamer color by the weekend :/

The water looks a lot better from the pics than this past weekend. You can actually see a hint of green to it. But like has been said that is all for nothing with whats going on outside. At least it looks to be warming up much sooner after the cold this time than last.

Sure does, which makes no sense because the rain on Sunday made River rise......confused. Maybe it will be crystal clear by the weekend!

I doubt it but if it is, I'd sure like to go. I'm planning to fish somewhere Sunday afternoon to dark. I'm leaning towards Williamsport to spend the morning scouting for gobblers and the afternoon to dark bass fishing. I hope the water temps in there are up by Sunday afternoon.

Water wasnt lookin too bad yesterday. I'm planning to spend some time up there thurs and fri so we'll see what this weather does to it.

Jimmy there's one heck of a roost somewhere up on top of the cliffs across from GSP. Pretty fun listening to them calling at first light while you fish!

Man, they were still partying at 8:30 when I left! I was waiting for the cliff jumping to start.

There must be 20-40 toms in that roost. It's no joke when they start gobbling!
