Default Duck River Smallmouth

Fished from 4 to 7 today on the Duck River. Caught about 8 redeye, 4 small kentuckys, and 2 smallmouth. One was about 15" the other was around 18". I had probably a 4 lber on but jumped and threw the hook.

Nice fish. I'm floating from the dam to 269 next month, but I don't think there's smallies like those in that section.

Nice catch! I used to teach canoeing to kids on the Duck in Chapel Hill, TN at Horton Haven Christian Camp. The camp was situated in a horseshoe bend of the Duck. One of the most biodiverse rivers in the Eastern US.

From the looks of that 2nd picture, you didn't use the sunscreen in the top left on your foot!!
