Default Newest addition to the fleet

Went by hook 1 Friday and picked up my new ride. I went with the feelfree lure 11.5. Mounted the elite 5xHDI last night. So far I love it! I wanted to put it in the water today but the rain ruined that. Thursday at Williamsport will be the maiden voyage. The guys and girl at hook 1 were fantastic to deal with. I have to make it back up there and get some rod holders here soon.

Default Why the Feel Free?

Sweet looking ride!!!

As I'm now in the market for a kayak myself, one question... what made you choose the Feel Free over a Wilderness Ride? Just curious.

The fact that it's 36" wide, the seat is awesome and the standing platform is huge and reinforced.

Oh lord, don't start showing me power poles I am going to make my own shallow water anchors in the next couple weeks. Your rig looks fantastic, does the rail across the front get in the way at all?

It really did not get in the way. I no longer use it though. I ended up using the Yakattack track adapters and put my depth finder on a ball mount.

Thanks guys, I just noticed the LED lights on your lure JDK. I am going to put the LED strip black lights up front like that on mine and then try and do the red/green on the front top and the white on the top of the back. I have a feeling the rigging my kayak will be more expensive than my bass boat.

Just my opinion but I would steer away from the red and green lights. They give the perception that your vessel is under power and could possible navigate out of the way of a moving vessel.

Ok, never thought about that. I figured if out late you had to have the running lights on.... speaking from Bass boat experience. Are yours blacklights?
