Default 6/2 Pond Crankin

Spent another half hour up at my lunch hole. It's turned into a what the bass won't hit test tank. The place originated as a bluegill gem but has been bass galore this year.

Today was crankbaits... in particular my favorite shallow runner. The Cotton Cordell Big O in Smokey Joe.

Also, I had one on that may have gone 2.5 lbs get off. The hardest thing was watching all the bait getting blown up on the opposite ends of the pond where I can't go.

Great throwback crankbait. FYI there is a store called Bargain Hunt, in Mt. Juliet, franklin and Hendersonville that got a whole lot of crankbaits from the 90's and some going back to the 70's still in the box. Most of the real good ones have been cleaned out though. . I have just about made my money back with the Pre Rapala Storm Wiggle Warts and 3 hook Zell Rowland Zara Spooks selling on E bay.

I found a guy who has replicated the original Wiggle Wart. He makes a silent, rattling, and suspending. From all that I've read they are spot on. He took the original and split the bait, found the correct size and weight of lead balls. He has someone mass producing them for him. Here's his website http://www.predatorbassbaits.com/id69.html, the Wiggle Warts are $2.25ea

Love those baits.!!!

By the way...The Wee version is the best.

I have a spot local that carries and can actually get me new my favorite crankbaits that they stopped making back in 1994.

I really like some of his color schemes. How do you order?
