Default Keel Guard

Ive been looking into these for a little while now. Im a big advocate of preventative equipment stuff like this but would like to know if they work, are they a hassle, do they stay in place? ect. Pro's/Cons?

I have been looking into these as well. Pending the hull surface (matte paint vs fiber glass or gloss paint). I have seen two products from Cabelas. Either way preventive care goes a long way.

Smile Keel Guards ... <'TK><

As you know most of my guiding and launching points with my Guide boat was done In the upper Old Hickory and Cordell Hull areas .. Concrete ramps was the down side .. I installed Gator Guard shields on my bow and keel Line ... Gator Guard also backed their product when I had an issue ... Not sure if this product is still available ... <'TK><

I installed one on my alumacraft years ago. Not sure which one but it served it's purpose and I'm not sure if aluminum was an acceptable application. I sold the boat and it is still in place today. I think it was keel guard? I think it said is was applicable for some aluminum keels.

I put one on my Stratos 285 ProXL in 2005 and it looks as if it were new today. I would not own a fiberglass boat without one. Easy install, just take your time and pay attention to detail.

Thanks guys...i will do some more looking into any other possible manufacturers. The hull is a glossy paint on aluminum.
I need to get a few of them bumpers too. Launching solo, some of the docks like to chew on the paint/sticker details. Lol
