Default At the crappie hole.

Was able to get out yesterday...and today to crappie fish. Back has kept me down and I need surgery....just putting it off. But it eased up a few days ago and I was able to get out. The video is of the trip yesterday. Had a great day today also but no 13 or 14 inch fish today. Will hit it again next week after another epidural....life is good!

Regards

Another good video, Randy.

If I caught as many fish as you my back, legs and arms would all be hurting.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Ott there a lot of days I can’t buy a fish. I’ve been down there before and couldn’t even catch a bluegill....LOL. But....I went back yesterday and got into them again.....just no 13-14 inch fish....mostly 11-12 inches. Sure was fun.

Have you ever fished the bridge piers from your boat so you could fish all of them from all sides? OTOH, if I could catch that many from the bank it might not be worth fooling with taking a boat.

Yes I have fished it from a boat but.......that place is unique in the fact that spot the water gets to acting like a toilet flush. You are so close to the dam that when they pulse those generators....and they do that often.....the water will flow one direction and then maybe settle down for 5 minutes and flow the other direction. Sometimes the current flowing through there is pretty quick. If you don’t want to get your boat banged up you have to tie off to the bridge...which can tick folks off if you are blocking the waterway. I have been sitting in that spot and the water come up so quick it gets up to your calves in a mater of seconds with no warning. But in that spot there is no need to take a boat there.....it fishes far better from the bank.
