Default Crappie fishing this coming saturday

I've got an open seat on my boat for Saturday. May do a little scouting, hit some of my regular brush piles and some new ones that I've found and not fished. Or go to the steam plant. I've only been there one other time, so it would be new to me. So don't expect much if we go there. Lol. Will be fishing old hickory obviously, Send me a pm, and let's catch some fish.

Duck hunters use shotguns. You will not get shot unless you scare off ducks.

That's a meal right there!
I know you fish below the dam alot like I do. Have you tried for Crappie down there before? I've caught them right at the dam and down in the Stones river but haven't tried in the river itself.
If I can figure them out in the river that's the only place I'll ever need to fish lol.

Thanks!

I do fish below the dam but have not targeted them. I have caught one here and there dropping minnows in my catfish spot that's 30+ft deep. And they wasn't small either. 14-15 inchers. It'd be hard to fish for them the way I like to which is the lazy mans way (bobbers and minnows)!!! I have also caught crappie along the rocks on the Madison side of the dam throwing crappie jigs trying to catch skipjack for catfish.

They're in there most definitely...but I'm just now starting to figure them out on the lake, no need in messing that up right now. Lol. I'm really wanting to get back in the river and small mouth fish but I'm loving the crappie fishing right now. Gonna be hard to pry that ultra light out of my hand!!

Thanks. Just figured Since I had an empty seat, and I don't like fishing alone this time of year, and I enjoy meeting new, like minded people, I'd throw it out there. I did end up taking a friend of mine that had never crappie fished before in his life. Ended up being a good day.

Did you get your wife's purse cleaned out and got what belonged to you back??? 😂😂Lmao... just kidding...it was a good day, but if I had kept following my pattern, could've got more of them.
