nice fish.

the largest crappie i ever caught was in fl. the bait was a live blue gill like 1.5 inches long.

oh and you don't have to cut those wires off that flash mob to make it legal. you have have five baits but only 3 can have hooks.

man twra really screwed up that up a few yrs ago. and now they have fixed it and no one knows whats legal anymore.

***Thanks for that info. I was of the school of thought that even if there was an attractant, like blades, it was considered bait. Thanks again.

3 Baits with hooks is max, as many arms as you would like.

It is based on hooks not baits. You are only allowed three total. Single hooks, double hooks and trebles count as one.

A rig with 3 flukes on jig heads is legal

A rig with 3 crankbaits is not unless you leave one treble hook on each bait.

A rig with 3 frogs must have all single hooks no double frog hooks.

Just examples...now how closely its enforced could be another story. The agent could just count baits but that isn't the law.

I really appreciate all the input for sure.
Mine was modified down to three arms and I had one single hook jig on each with "Mister Twister" like grubs. Sounds like I am good to go. Anyway, it's not really my style of fishing as much as I just wanted to try it out. I prefer any bait I have to work over one I just throw out and reel back. I did catch myself putting a yo-yo type retrieve on it a few times. I will keep one or two in the boat in case nothing else is working cause it did look really good coming through the water.
