Default OH Crappie 2-24

Finally had a little window I could get out. Caught about 20 with 8 keepers. Shorts looked to be of several different year classes, so it looks like we have several groups of fish for down the road. I don't mind wading through fish at all. Fish were pretty shallow, which surprised me, caught most in 3-5 ft. Water stained but surprisingly fishable. All on docks or blowdowns. More blacks than whites, but several really nice fish mixed in. All caught on Bobby Garland Monkey Milk and a jig pole fished very S L O W.

Thanks for the report. I'm going to try and get out in the morning if the storms don't blow things out tonight.

My neighbor’s red buds have bloomed. Let’s go boys! It’s on now. Get the crabgrass preventer out and hit the shallow water crappie structure.

Water was +/- 57 where I was fishing. Water was way down or I think the fishing would have been a little better.
