Talking Look what's moving downstream... I'm getting Excited :)

It's that time of year again when my favorite fish are visiting my neighborhood. We went out yesterday to troubleshoot some positioning problems with the Lowrance, Point1, & Motorguide Xi5 Pinpoint when we saw something tasty on the screen. Luckily I had picked up a few shad on the way out to the Cages Bend area, just in case. I usually catch my first striper in this area in late July. I guess Christmas came early. In the hour we spent there we caught several nice blues & this fella. On the way back to Douglas Bend we happened upon some feeding white bass. Using double jigs we were catching 4 at a time on every cast. What a day, the day after my birthday

Way to go. I spent some time catching rockfish at the steam plant this winter and spring when the bass fishing was slow. It was a lot of fun. This makes me wanna go try and find some. Btw, Happy B Day

Thanks for the Birthday Wish As far as the water goes, it was cloudy with a greenish hue, don't know the temperature. The wind was blowing upstream & the current was pulling downstream. It was also like being in the ocean with all the Friday evening Pleasure Boaters! I can't seem to find an area with enough wood to keep Wake Boarders away!!!

Default Fingers Crossed...

I just started cutting my teeth on freshwater (only fished Saltwater in the past). I've set a goal for myself to catch a striper by end of year. Hoping and praying I can find out how to get on some of these guys...

Great catch!
