Default Wide Gap ?

Cleaning tackle end of year for me. Major eye surgery will end my fishin for season. Was separating hooks and noticed just about every hook I have regardless of size is a wide gap. Wondering when to use wide gap and if there's time when I shouldn't? Know that some smaller baits can't accommodate but are there others that I shouldn't be using wide gaps hooks on for some reason? Thanks guys/gals in advance.

I use them on Ned rigs. In fact I use EWG. Increased my smallie catch on the Cumberland when I started using them.

I bought some of these ewg ned rig heads and I noticed my bites went way down, think it affects the action of my baits, went back to the old style and it picked back up , I really haven't had a problem with my hook up ratio on the older style but unless I'm using the 1/16 oz the snag up pretty frequently

Do you have an example of the heads you are using?

I'm quite sure it increased your catch rate 100%.
0-1 = 100%!
