Default Jpp 10-7

Hit the water yesterday evening trolled cranks for about two hours caught 2 yellow, 2 big white, and 2 hybrid. Then we found the bait all bunched up and decided to stay there and work it over, shortly after it was a top water show. The hybrids were busting everywhere around us. We boated 20+ in an hour or so, it was to fast actioned to keep track. We actually caught 5 hybrids our first 5 casts each. We were getting slammed the moment it hit the water. All the hybrids were 3-7 pounds with most being 4-5. Best top water action I've seen in a while...

That sounds incredible. I have yet to experience a bunch of Hybrids aggressively busting topwaters like that. One day I hope to be in the right place at the right time. Those fish are a blast to hook into.

I was on the lower end. My usual honey holes were holding fish but they were tight lipped. When we found the masses of bait we just stuck around them at a distance and waited for the action.

Yes sir! I could only wish I was wearing the go pro now, but it's been a couple months since I went after the hybrids and never expected that kinda of action... Going back tomorrow and keeping my fingers crossed!

Boy there's hardly anything more fun, is there? Before I got a boat, I used to fish off the bank over near Long Hunter boat ramp a lot. One day, I had the whole bank to myself because it was raining. A school of hybrids moved in and I literally caught one on almost every cast. They hung around longer than I have ever seen a school stay in one spot-probably 30 or 40 minutes. It got to where I was almost tired of catching them-almost. My arms were sore the next day! What a blast. Nothing like it. Thanks for the report.
