Default Percy Priest crappie

Got out Sunday mid morning to get some crappie for the freezer. Got to Fate Sanders at 10:30 and totally forgot the Mac Bass tournament was going on so we drove over to Bryant's boat ramp. It was misty rainy all day but it was great to get out on the water. Started long lining with curly tails and caught 2 shorts within 15 minutes, yahoo! That was it for the next hour and half, we moved to three locations with zero results, I was marking schools of fish but they just were not interested in the jigs. Was thinking about packing it up but decided to tie on some crank baits and kill a little more time. Within an hour we had 3 nice keepers and threw back 6 shorts. Battery was going down fast so we packed it in with a meal for the two of us. (I didn't charge the night before because wasn't planning to go out). 16 fow at 1.4 mph pulling Pico Geezer clown cranks.
Water temps were in the upper 60's. Batteries are on trickle charge now, won't make that mistake again.

Good luck to all
Ray
