Default Lake Tansi Bass

literally live 5 minutes from Lake Tansi in Crossville, really haven't fished here much generally making the nearly hour drive to Center Hill or another local lake mohawk , this week I made a point to really focus on this lake so I fished Monday and Wednesday and caught over 25 most in the 12-14" range , most were caught on a blue fluke with the biggest caught on a watermelon brush hog and a few on a black with blue fleck senko, will definetely be giving this lake some more attention

Nice catches. How big is Lake Tansi? I have a couple of friends that live on the golf course there.

I think its 550 acres, some big bass have come out of there recently , there are 4 lakes in Lake Tansi Village , I have been fishing Lake Mohawk that's about 125 acres and we have caught some really nice fish out of there too

Really was sad moving from Cookeville where I was so close to Center Hill, Cordell Hull and Dale hollow but this is a nice consolation lol

I assume you need to be a resident to fish there? Also, is there a horsepower or speed limit?

Yes you have to be a resident , not sure about horsepower or speed, not sure why you would need to go very fast on this lake lol

Yeah still see some guys bringing in perch, what really surprises me is the guys that come in with these nice bass boats and they are panfishing , I know there are some bass fishers but other than tournaments you really don't see them on the lake

btw when you lived here did you ever fish Mohawk or Geronimo? took a buddy to Mohawk a while back , we weren't there 10 minutes and he caught a 7.2 on a sexy dog jr , by the end of the night we caught over 20 fish most over 2 lbs

I fished mohawk a few times. Those 2 lakes at least back then were electric motor only and i got tired of paddling everywhere i went.
Also, if you want crappies, send me a PM. I used to have a pretty sweet gig at tansi when i lived there.

Starting to really like this lake , caught this 4lb 14oz on an albino fluke, ended up with 12 total and 6 over 15" most caught on a black sexy dog jr

btw if you don't have a sexy dog jr I suggest you add it to your lineup, absolutely exciting lure, they were exploding on it as soon as it got dark
