Smile TN Boat and Fishing Expo 2018 <'TK><

Folks, I attended the Tennessee Boat and Fishing Expo for 2018, which was held for the first time in Wilson county in Lebanon. A great new modern venue with plenty of room and atmosphere.

While there I was a guest at the Trout Magnet Booth and met Jeff Smith and some of his Pro Staffers. One of which was Randy Goad, (Alphahawk) also a number of our members that stopped by. Mike Ernst (MNFISHER) In a couple of Pic's also Randy, and Myself. I also met Lowell Myers a renowned Trout guide on the Little Red River in Arkansas .. A delightful bunch of guys. Check out the pic where a couple of staffers brought in a cooler full of freshly caught Slabs from J.Percy Priest Friday evening ...
.
If you missed it this year, Put it on your calendar for 2019, It's a must. Did I mention the Tackle $$ deals .... <'TK><

Here are a few websites you may want to check Out: www.sorelipemall.com and www.troutmagnet.com ..

It was good to talk with Michael E. and Randy G. on Saturday at the TM booth. After that I made my rounds to talk to my other friends working the show. I did spend 50.00 on some A-rigs, swimbaits and K-9 line. I liked to new venue for sure.

TK, did you guys used to have a get together every year. I thought I saw that before I joined the sight? I think that would be a good time. I'd be willing to help organize if others would be interested.

Well I think I have rested up enough to post....LOL. Working those shows gets harder each year....all of us who are growing older aren’t in as good shape as Merv. TK and I had a good couple of days visiting and talking. It was good to see all who stopped by. TK recommended I try the brisket from Blue Moon barbecue at the show. He was spot on.....their brisket is good. I am not sure how many people did not come that usually do due to the show being in Lebanon. But that venue is really nice. I prefer it over the fairgrounds. Trout Magnet had a great 3 days of business. Saw all of our regulars who come but it was nice to introduce a lot of new folks to the product. Getting excited for the fishing that is about to happen.

Regards

I hit the show up saturday morning. Glad to see my favorite booth on the opening stretch...Po Boy's.
Sadly, the older gentleman that ran the operation passed away and this was probably gonna be thier last year doing the show. His booth was always my favorite.....cheap CHEAP leadheads from 1/32-1/4oz.....and the blade baits. I dont know if he modified a mold to make his Diddy Blades, but they are by far, the best i have used. They had a ton of them on display and were selling them for $2/each....i got $68 worth. Lol. And some crappie jigs too. 10/$1. Lol
Talked to the world famous Mike Ernst for a few, bought some slab magnets and rolled out.
Loving the show at the new Expo center.....but they need to do something about the parking. That place was a mud pit when i left at 11 and more people were pulling in. Mud and grass flying and slung all over cars from guys spinning. Lol.
If anybody know the people at Po Boys, i would love some contact info on them. Maybe i can buy some of the mans molds or lead pots or something.
