Default Old Rebel Lures

Lets talk fishing for a change...

As you know I have acquired some fishing gear of my fathers that included a lot of your older Rebel and Rapala stick baits ??? You remember those old black and silver, black & gold, blue & silver and green & silver swim crank baits....

I have several 3" a couple 4-5" blk/silver minnows and some blk/gold. The latest find is this 6" green/silver Rebel and a 5" hammered spoon (heavy too)... Would I or am I wasting my time with these older crank baits ? The green Rebel, I figure that would make for good stripper lure, maybe ?

What are your thoughts..? Let talk old school fishing cause I think some of these lures are as old as I am.

I have been advised that green is great for attracting strippers.

Still use the Rapala stick baits (or use to) really great for trout on the Caney especially the 6 inch one if you are looking for trophy trout ... Not sure now, mine were made of balsa wood in Sweden .. Not sure what the new ones are made of or where ....

Now the Rebels were real popular in the 70's and 80's they kind of started that style of crank baits for Bass, the Bomber model A's kind of took over the market .. Now the Greeny like Sambolie said were great for Stripers, but you have to remember in the 70's and 80's the stripers were not the size they are now... The the larger Cotton Cordell Red Fin took over the larger striper Crankbait category .. TK

I couldn't find a picture on the net of the green Rebel but I did of the others... I'm curious if they would produce since now days lures are painted so close to real bait fish.

Also I forgot to mention a 4" ? rainbow trout lure, second pic... I wonder if that would get any action.
