Default Rock Island State Park and Walleye

Heading to Rock Island this Friday. Shocking for Walleye was done last week. So I hope fishing is good. After they shock the Walleye get lock jaw for a few days. Called and found out the park ramp is ok to launch. Anyone been there lately?

You may have different results but I fish it at least 2 times a week. Haven't had much luck in a week or so. It was HOT a while back. Bite has really slowed. They are actually shocking today as eell.

Daniel. You aint no fun. Have you heard results from the shocking? I heard they had about 100 fish taken from within 100 yard of park boat ramp. Unfortunately I did not get to fish the Jan and Feb Walleye. I was heartbroken. I know they did well.
thanks,
Chub

I have not heard anything about the shocking. The water is still pretty high. This is the first year I have fished it with the lake level that high. So you may have better luck than me. And yes it was a very very good February.

Great falls is spilling but it's only one gate. Not bad current at all

If you see a little green flattbottom with a blue and white motor holler at me I may be down there as well. Not 100 percent sure

I will be there around 9 or 10. Got to make a stop before. I have a fully camo boat and seats. 17 ' Sea Nymph with 60 HP Johnson (also camo). Shout at me and see how we are doing. Which launch are you going out of? Park or County?

If I go down there I'll probably launch at warren county. Don't care for the park ramp myself

Hey daniel. I fish most of Friday for Walleye. Water appeared to be down a foot or so. I heard of no one catching Walleye. Was bad. So I went looking for something else. Managed catching 11 keeper crappie. All barely over 10 inches but legal and ate good. Basically fished the tree downs with minnows. Jigs were a no bust. Now with cold, snow, and more rain it don't look good. I don't know if I saw you or not. Were you fishing?
