Default Trophy 9-15 OHL

According to the TWRA's TARP program this is a trophy sized sauger. Beautiful fish for sure. Paul aka Goldspoon missed the release shot but this big breeder fish was released to make more trophies. The rest of the fishing afternoon was spent scouting out new locations and we also caught numerous largemouth, whites and yellows of average size.

I don't know but they don't get much bigger than 20" length wise.. I think the lake record was around 5 lbs. We have caught numerous sauger there at or around 20". Gotta get me a scale to start weighting these guys but I would guess these 20" fish are between 2 and 3 lbs. They are thick and fat.

Nice Sauger! I catch quite a few from 20-22'' in the winter months. My PB for OHL is 23.25in.
