Default Finally a day to remember

As most of you know this has been my first yr bass fishing in over 25 yrs... not to mention on a new bass boat on lakes I've never been on, never mind fished. Then fishing at all the wrong times during the most challenging conditions... Well yesterday my luck changed and had a great day...

Nothing of size except for the 2 drums that probably pushed close to 3lbs ea and a smaller one. I'd say I caught 5 bass under a pound, lost 2 or 3 at the boat.

I know most here have fished out of Saunders area and some regularly, but this was the first time for me and that fact I was catching anything was a great confidence builder. Especially after 2 weeks ago I took a guy out around Cedar Creek area to fish with me and he was catching them and I was skunked on my own boat. No worse feeling when you've been out 6-8 times and find you couldn't catch a fish if they jumped in the boat for you..

Thumbs up

Great to hear.
This cooler weather should help some and finding a lure you have confidence in will be the best thing to get fish in the boat.

That and Old Hickory is a really hard lake to learn because of current flows.

Congrats! With more trips it will get better. I think I’m catching a drum just about every trip on Percy Priest nowadays.
