Default Sturgeon Chronicals

I have always wanted to catch a sturgeon.

Then Saturday it happened.

Then again yesterday. And I lost 2 more. I think I might be addicted to sturgeon. Might have to quit my job. Guide sturgeon. Sturgeon. What a beast!

Post photos later!! Sturgeon!

Congrats on the catch!! They are surviving dinosaurs.

I’ve been fortunate enough to hang into one of these dinosaurs. After about 30 minutes I got it boat side, but it was so big we couldn’t get it in the boat. Deezltek had his arms around it, I sat the rod down to help, and when I did that the hook fell out. I guess the fish felt that and shook hard and got free before I could get my hands on it. It was every bit of 6’ long and probably 10-12” across its head!

Nice man. Even the smaller ones put up a huge fight. They are fun to catch and release
