Default Great day on JPP!

Inspired by Texas Rig, I decided to take the day off and give Percy Priest another try. Water was 57-58 and clearing. I started on steep rocky banks and caught several good smallies on a swimbait. Around 3:30 I noticed the water splashing behind me. Sure enough, the hybrids were blowing up the shad. I had a silver buddy ready, and it was on! 5-6 pounders were the norm. I had one break off that must have been a striper. (It dragged me around the lake before snapping my 12 lb test.)

The day finished with me dropping my keys in the lake at the dock. But wait, I threw my arm in the water and caught them mid-fall! Yeah, it was that kind of day!

Nice job. I can't wait to get back out there. I hope my boat mechanic calls me tomorrow to tell me I can pick my boat up. My cable broke the other day. The cable that runs from the shifter to the motor. It broke and was stuck in reverse. Luckily for me it happened at the ramp while loading my boat to go home.
