UH, not really Woody. He's only witty on FishingTN.com. In real life he's as boring as a nun at a stripper's party.

OK, probably more boring.

He has to write down his retorts, then have his wife proof read them for grammatical errors, lack of wit, and dumb remarks. If she thinks they are even somewhat humorous, she'll let him post them.

Notice how few remarks he makes???

I only hope when I get his age that I have more of my faculties about me......

Woody, I talked constantly when Merv and I fished. I thought he was unsociable because he seldom responded to my remarks. After about an hour he asked if I wanted a sandwich and I asked "what kind is it".
His response was "about 9:30".

Even at his tender age his hearing is not great.

Obviously, his wife didn't proofread and OK this post.
He probably snuck in and posted it when she went to bed.
I'll have her password protect her computer so this can't happen again.

One time I was fishing with Merv, this is a true story by the way, and he was telling me about the Spotted Bass having no size limit and to always check for the tooth patch on the tongue if you want to keep it. He got his words mixed up and said "That's the first thing I do when I catch a bass is stick my tongue in it's mouth." lol I looked at him and busted out laughing.

And then there's the time I was fishing with him below OHD and thought I had finally hooked at that time what would have been my first striper and after a several minute fight it was just a huge carp foul hooked under it's pectoral fin.

What good are fishing buddies if you don't have great stories, right??

Merv I think you need to get me, Sambolie, and Juice all in the boat with you one day. It will be a day of constant ball busting, laughter, and politically incorrect jokes. We can catch zero fish, and probably will since Sambolie will be there, and still have a blast.

Sounds like a fun trip to me! And if the fishing is REALLY bad, we can always throw SAMBOLIE overboard and troll for gar.

Sign me up! I'm good for Gas money, cold beer or whatever. Jimmy, with me and Sambolie in the boat not only will you not catch fish, you will probably fall over board. I don't think I have seen Jimmy catch a fish when I am with him....

For some reason I envision the S.S. Minnow here. Skipper, Professor, Thurston Howell III and Gilligan. Not sure any of you are quite easy enough on the eyes to be Ginger.

Ha you lie!! Seems like the fishing has sucked for all the outings we've made but I caught one and lost one at the unnamed lake with all the lilypads and milfoil and I also got one on a D-bomb at your mini Guntersville section of the Stones.

Last time I was being stubborn and refused to use jerkbaits even though they were working for you. I was (and still am) determined to catch my first fish on a jig and learn that technique.

Let's throw him over even if the fishing is good. It will be funny.

Oh yeah, in my old age my memory is slipping. I will agree with you that our outings have not been the best conditions. I am on board with the jigs, I purchased 6 more yesterday I am determined to catch fish on them. Missile baits has announced a new D-bomb, the D-Stroyer. I am more than a little excited.

Well if you did think any of us were easy on the eyes enough to be Ginger I'd still think you're a cool guy but wouldn't want to go fishing with you during any dark hours.
