That stinks Jimmy. I doubt it will be super busy Sunday. 20 mph winds and rain all day. High of 48, it will never get there with the rain and wind. If I do fish Sunday it will be at the steam plant.

They changed the starting date to Feb 14th. Now men everywhere have to put the opening day of Kayak Wars against Valentine's Day. This should be interesting...

Ouch.. I though I was a real man for fishing at 3am in the snow. You are a BOSS if you go on VDay. I would not want to cross paths with your lady on the 15th if you go out on opening day.

A friend got married the day before dove season opened. Somehow he convinced his wife to hunt with him and leave on the honeymoon after opening day. That woman is a keeper.

Pff, I got this beat. My yearly spring fishing trip, chickamauga this year is schedule for the week/weekend of Mothers day. I'm going but apparently I will have to make it up..... It's not like it's her first or anything, she got that last year, which I was home for.

And she deserves a dinner of fresh grilled dove breasts the day after opening day.

Dang Juice I think you are the muther.

If she got it last year it is good to know that you were there.

PS, I think you are telling us more than we need to know.

The Facebook page for kayak wars now says a start date of Feb 14 due to the new regions not in the system yet.

Yep, I am glad I did not go Sunday to the steamplant. I would have been very upset if I caught big stripers and could not count them towards the event.
