I have a hollow bait that I'm going to put a 1" light stick inside that will glow for 8 hours and rig on a weighted hook flat not upright. That I'm going to test out at the GSP on Monday and I think I will take my Go Pro with me so I can put it on you tube.............woody

On a similar note, ive had great success jigging in the Detroit and St. Clair Rivers for walleyes with glow in the dark jigheads in deep, deep water, 40-50ft. just that little extra contrast helps the fish zero in on the bait in the right conditions. ofcourse the water up there is alot clearer than the Old Hickory/cumberland river but i would think it would have the same effect.
Good Luck Woody, im looking forward to hearing/seeing how it works out for ya!

Almost all of my jigs and spinner heads are glow powder paint with UV powder paint mix in for more glow. With just glow the jig glows for about two minutes until it comes up in the sun light but with UV added it stays glowing as long as there is some light making it down to the jig and that helps. Now with rubber baits it's the same with the glow but using some baits don't have the glow so if it's hollow add the 1" light stick inside and it will glow brighter and up to 8 hours under water............woody

They are called FLO-GLO light sticks and they are used on your bobber or above your jig. Bass pro has them or you can get them from www.bettstackle.com ................woody

I used to use the lights on floats for night time. One day I was walking out of Kroger and my daughter wanted her usual quarter machine toy. As I started to get her bubblegum noticed next to it was mini glow sticks the same size as the ones at Bass Pro for a quarter. I bought up several.
